About the role

Shida Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Writer to lead the creation of education and training content for the WACPPE, our innovative online education platform.

This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Writer. The Medical Writer will be responsible for writing and editing scientific and medical communications, conducting research and writing medical documents. Other responsibilities include ensuring that all work meets regulatory requirements and guidelines, and collaborating with teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.

The role is also responsible for creating content across all asset websites, blogs and social media accounts in collaboration with our graphics design team.

The Medical Writer is strategic in developing relationships with other healthcare professionals with the aim of growing the organisation.

All content created are original, plagiarism free, unbiased and fully referenced.

 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

1. Craft compelling evidence based course content for our postgraduate education platform, designed specifically for the pharmacy workforce in Nigeria and West Africa

2. Develop informative and SEO-optimized educational blog posts to empower patients with accurate health information
3. Curate engaging social media content across platforms like Twitter and Instagram, fostering meaningful connections within the healthcare community
4. Produce captivating bite-sized videos that complement our blog posts, enhancing content reach and impact
5. Collaborate seamlessly with our design team to produce visually appealing graphics that enhance social media posts across various platforms
6. Work effectively with other members of the team and clients/service users
7. Any other requirements for the department

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field from a reputable university (essential)

2. Experience in the healthcare industry is a must
   1. Brings a minimum of three years of industry experience to the table eg either as a doctor or a pharmacist (essential)
