Volunteer Fundraiser
Bee’s Food Drive is the non-profit arm of Shida Healthcare LTD. At Bee’s Food Drive, we distribute food to vulnerable children and adults in need in Nigeria. Founded in 2021, Bee’s Food Drive has been operating for over a year now.
We are now in need of a Volunteer Fundraiser that would help us increase the number of donations we receive. This way, we are able to help more people in need.
Volunteer Fundraiser Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Research and identify potential sources of funds
- Reach out to potential donors and explain the cause and objectives of the organization
- Develop fundraising strategies and plans
- Establish strong relationships with potential and existing donors
- Develop and manage campaigns for special events
- Monitor fundraising progress and report back to the Board of Directors
- Assist in developing and writing grant proposals
- Prepare funding reports for donors and stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage fundraising events
- Develop and maintain a database of donors and prospects
- Network with other organizations to share ideas and best practices
- Prepare promotional material, presentations, and other external communications
- Participate in and promote fundraising activities within the community
- Provide support with other fundraising activities as needed
- Maintain accurate records using our CRM
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with donors, partners, and the public
- Understanding of fundraising policies, procedures, and regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional attitude and commitment to the mission of the organization
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of current trends in philanthropy, fundraising, and donor cultivation
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and databases
- Previous experience working as a fundraiser desirable
- Educated to at least GCSE level
