Shida Healthcare LTD is searching for an experienced medical doctor that is registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria to join our medical team remotely. Your central goal is to help grow our medical service influence and reputation locally and internationally while also increasing loyalty and brand awareness.

The role: As a member of medical team, you responsible for ensuring a high quality of patient care which is safe, and effective and involves the patient and public in its design.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. Undertake patient consultations remotely whilst focusing on our company tagline “evidence-based healthcare at your doorstep”
  2. Provide advice to the Management Team on clinical issues and ensure effective medical involvement in the management of clinical services
  3. Liaise with internal and external leads in developing strategies for maintaining a healthy population via the prevention of ill health
  4. Facilitate good communication and working relationships across the company
  5. Business growth
    • Work with the marketing department to promote our services and increase the number of patients and third-party organisations eg hospitals and clinics, that use our services
  6. Promoting multi-disciplinary education and working within the company as an aid to service improvement
  7. Support the delivery of excellent quality of care,
  8. Quality of care
    • Ensuring the company provides the highest quality of care possible in an environment of financial constraints and a drive for greater productivity
    • Suggesting ways to improve the way services are delivered, in particular, the role of the medical staff in service delivery
    • Work with the management team to bridge the gap between strategic business development and oversight in the operational delivery of care standards
    • Ensure that standards of patient care are developed and maintained at a high standard ensuring the company provides a safe, effective and efficient service for its patients
    • Work with relevant external bodies to ensure that services within the company meet or contribute to meeting requirements of external accreditation
    • To act as a role model for embedding and maintaining a culture of safety including all aspects of safety: patients, staff, environment, processes, service developments and infection prevention and control
  9. Corporate management
    • As a member of the company’s management team, contribute to the company meeting its annual objectives and strategic goals
    • Advise the Chief Executive and management team on all clinical matters to ensure the company best meets the needs of its patients
    • Keep the management team abreast of important developments in national policies which affect how clinical services should be delivered

 

What you need to succeed

  1. A medical degree from an accredited university
  2. Current registration with the MDCN
  3. At least 3 years of previous post license experience as a medical doctor
  4. A sound understanding of the healthcare needs in Nigeria
  5. An ability to actively contribute to the company’s strategic direction and corporate objectives
  6. Able to be an active and effective member of the management team
  7. A track record of developing strategies and policies that demonstrably improve the service provided to patients
  8. A sound understanding of clinical information/quality accounts
  9. An ability to work with and gain the respect of staff from all areas across the organisation
  10. An ability to demonstrate a commitment to the team and multi-professional working
  11. An ability to develop strong working relationships externally, for example with third-party clinics and hospitals
  12. An aptitude for innovation personally and inspiring others to innovate
  13. An ability to correctly analyse large amounts of complex information
  14. A laptop in good working condition
  15. Good internet connection
  16. Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel
  17. Good IT skills including the use of customer relationship management systems
  18. Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Can speak and write (UK) English fluently
    • Can speak at least one Nigerian language fluently (desirable NOT essential)
